| Next to the Shrine's Store, there is a small building called "The Blessings Office" ("Bénédictions"). During the pilgrimage season, a priest is always available to offer blessings.
These blessings are acts of faith and are not magic. They include a short prayer that the priest prays over the people present before him and/or upon religious articles they want to have blessed. These objects become signs of God's love and presence in the lives of the people who will have them in their possession. |
