Let us proclaim
the mystery of faith!

Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI suggested that we dedicate this year to “faith”. This theme suits our new Pope Francis perfectly, considering the vision and direction that he wants to give the Universal Church. Here at Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, the pastoral team has chosen its 2013 pilgrimage theme to be « Let us proclaim the mystery of faith! »
The Eucharist, the centre and summit of our lives as Christians, is deeply connected to our faith. We wish to emphasize and develop this relationship even more during this year’s pilgrimage season. Actually, the idea came to us during an informal discussion with our friend, Most Reverend Gérald Cyprien Lacroix, Archbishop of Québec. He is constantly coming up with new ideas, especially with regards to the “new evangelisation”.

The 2013 Novena will be preached by Father Gary George. We hope to see many of you at the Basilica during the Novena as you come and celebrate your faith with the Christian community. It is expected to be a powerful and prayerful time for us.
May your summer and Novena be truly blessed, and may this Year of Faith help you genuinely deepen your relationship with God.
